FAQ

  • I have dietary restrictions. What should I do?

Please email us at ValerieandAlex2025@gmail.com as far in advance as possible, and we’ll make sure to accommodate your needs.

  • Where are the ceremony and reception located?

    Ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

    Christ Church
524 Park Avenue (at 60th Street)
    New York, NY 10065

    Reception immediately follows:

    The Century Association
    7 West 43rd Street (near 5th Avenue)
    New York, NY 10036

  • What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m., and church doors will open at 4 p.m. We strongly encourage everyone to be on time or early. Late arrivals will be admitted at the discretion of our wedding planner and ushers.

  • When does the reception start and end?

The reception will begin immediately following the ceremony and will conclude at 11:00 p.m.

  • Will there be transportation between the ceremony and reception?

We will not be providing transportation, but the venues are easily accessible via Uber, Lyft, or a cab.

  • What is the dress code?

The dress code is Black Tie Preferred, which means we strongly encourage men to wear tuxedos. A dark suit is acceptable for those who don’t have access to formal eveningwear. For women, we suggest a floor-length gown, a dressy cocktail dress, or other appropriate evening attire.

Come ready to celebrate in style!

  • Are kids invited?

Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, the only exceptions being members of the wedding party. As we included all guest names on the invitations, please look there or contact us as soon as possible if you have any questions. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Can I bring a guest?

Please refer to your invitation to confirm if you have a plus-one (it will either list the guest’s name or “and guest” on the inner envelope). If you are at all unsure, please contact Valerie and/or Alex as soon as possible.

  • What about parking?

    What about parking?

There are several parking garages near Christ Church and The Century Association, but please note that the two locations are a 10–15 minute drive apart. Below are a few recommendations:

    Near Christ Church:

Valet Garage – ParkChirp at 122 East 60th Street (750 Lexington Avenue)

Icon Parking at 35 East 61st Street, between Park and Madison Avenues

    Near The Century Association:

City Parking Garage at 38 West 43rd Street (look for the red logo and signage).
Guests who park here can have their parking validated by The Century.

Please note that both locations are also easily accessible via Uber, Lyft, or a cab.

There is no official afterparty, but if you’re looking to keep the celebration going, there are great bars nearby! We've reserved some tables at Valerie (under Francesca Hess and Max Hess). Just a few minutes from The Century and the Sofitel, the Art Deco-styled cocktail bar is located on 45th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues and stays open until 2 a.m.

  • What colors are the bridesmaids wearing?

Our bridesmaids will be wearing blush pink dresses.

  • Can I take photos during the ceremony?

  • Can I take photos during the reception?

Yes, but we ask you to give our professional photographers and videographers a wide berth, especially during pivotal moments (such as our entrance, first dance, and wedding cake-cutting).

There are no additional wedding events open to all guests. Our rehearsal dinner is reserved for the wedding party only, and there will not be a brunch or lunch the day after our wedding.
